Every vehicle must be systematically inspected, maintained, and lubricated on a defined schedule (Title 13 CCR §1232). Records must show vehicle ID, date/mileage, nature of work performed, name of lessor/contractor (if applicable), and signature (CCR §1234). Retain 1+ year. Brake inspection/repair must be performed by a qualified person per 49 CFR §396.25.

These are manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance services for Thermo King (and similar) transport refrigeration units — not a CHP BIT chassis-inspection requirement. Typical PM interval is every 1,000–3,000 engine hours depending on model (1,500 hours is a common baseline); refrigerant charge and operating pressure should be checked by a licensed technician roughly every six months. Always confirm the exact interval in your unit's operator manual.
